Hello,
My 40 GB Hard disk is not supported by my bios.
Motherboard: Tomato(Zida) LX98-AT
Bios Date: 24/9/1999
Bios ID: 61-704-800-1000-00111111-071595-i440LX-6DLXN704H
Brand: AMI BIOS
Version: 1.12

If that's the true BIOS release date, then it should be supported. If AUTO detect doesn't work, enter the HDD parameters manually in BIOS.

Its the updated bios date, the original date is 1996.However, it still doesnt automatically recognizes the hard drive when using the two bioses and when I manually configure it, the size does not match 40gb.It freezes at startup because of the 40gb seagate barracuda 7200rpm hdd.Please help if u can :)

OK, just checked with a beta utility. It doesn't support HDDs over 32GB.
I've patched it for you with a utility that's in a very beta state for AMI BIOSes. I'm sending it to you by email, but the risk is solely yours.
