It's always a good idea to give us all the info you've gathered regarding your motherboard. Otherwise, we're forced to identify it from scratch (your BIOS ID). Reinventing the wheel isn't a good idea all the time.
In this case, you must have identified its model if you concluded that the BIOS release date is the same...

"PC Partner MB520NH and VXB8x0DS boards" at the "tested" link in my signature, tested with 60GB. Please let us know if it does the job for you and what drive you used.
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.

Sure it's enough, Nicolae, but getting to the right BIOS requires several steps. The BIOS ID is step 1. If you managed to identify your board and found its BIOS and verified that its release date is the same as yours, you've advanced several steps. That's why I just asked you to give us more than just step 1.nicolae788 wrote:P.S.:the code that i post it in the subject of the post isn't enough?
If, on the other hand, all you could manage to advance was to step 1, I wouldn't have said anything.

hello again
Well nothing wrong happened but i was unable to udate the bios. Why?because it keeps saying insuficient memory in the error msg box.
I used a bootable floppy to which i made a copy of the patch file and the awdflash version 7.41 program.Do i did something wrong? And to what memory does this program refers to ,the conventional memory or the bios i am not sure ?Should i use another program instead of the awdflash version 7.41?
Thank you all
Alex.

Try creating a bootdisk with drdflash from www.bootdisk.com
It doesn't load memory managers.

Hello
Still having problems!!I tried with the program from bootdisk.com with bootdisk98,bootdisk98c and winboot and still having that error msg telling me that the memory it's insuficient.
What i observed was that when i typed the name of the flash file without the extension it didn't showed any error msg then asked me if i want to backup my existing bios selected yes and after backing it up it says "could not find the source file",what this means god knows. If i do not select to backup the old bios the same msg appears. If i type the name of the file with ending with the extension *.bin it says insuficient memory.
I do not understand what is wrong.I think that the only persons that can help me are you.And by the way if finally this bios update will be done the data on my hdd it will still be awaible?and after that i will see the rest of my hard as simple as that?
Thank you very much for your assistance and excuse for bodering you with my old computer but which i like very much.

you still did not use the drdos bios flash disk they have there which is specially designed for bios flashing. Instead you still chose to use windoze floppies that load some sort of memory manager thereby messing up awdflash.nicolae788 wrote:Hello

Hello all
problems still are .I used the drdos bios flash startup disk creator and no more insuficient memory msg.now what is happening:
-with award flasher version 5.53A it's like that:it displays the flash type as 2F8010/12V and when i hit Y for the programing process to begin it shows ERASE CHIP FAIL! as error msg.
-with award flasher 7.41 it says UNKNOWN FLASH and doesn't let me go further.
-with award flash 8.12 it says IMAGE BIOS FILE NOT ORIGINAL and then asks me if i want to program and i hit Y and then UNKNOWN FLASH and out of the program.
-with uniflasher the commands for flashing are not active and next to the organisation field it asks me if write protection was removed.
now what could all this be?In the MB manual i didn't found any references to a jumper which enables or disables the write protection so if there's such a jumper were can i find it on my motherboard?
Below i will show you all the info for this MB:
