MSI mainboard, please provide the full OEM signon string (see instructions) .
It may be possible this string looks like this :
W6399M7 V1.14 012903 10:30:00 MEDIONPC.
This would then relate to a OEM MSI mainboard for Medion - www.medion.com

Hi Deniss,
the complete string is 6513M7 V1.59 01290310:19:00 MEDIONPC.
I already downloaded the BIOS update from the Medion hompeage, it did not help. Even worse: the computer does not start any longer, it turns into an endless loop at ther starting sequence. When I enter the BIOS setup now, it even does not recognize the new hd any longer (is configured as slave).
Any idea appreciated.
Cheers, Thomas

Dear Kuriaki:
this is the string after downloading: 6513M7 V1.59 01290310:19:00 MEDIONPC, it is the upgraded bios message.
Please visit km 52 for me in the national park south of cancun - great spot.
Dear Denis:
Unfortunately I do not have the Bios-ID and OEM message of the original Bios
Do you think disconnecting the new hd and restart would help?
Cheers
Thomas
