If the later part of the BIOS ID matches, you should be able to use that BIOS.

Does your board say LXB834D, LXB843D, EXB831D or EXB841D somewhere on it?

Our patched Bios can't work because of different I/O chipset - the patched Bios is for SMC I/O.
Vtech/PcPartner board - should have a 35-8804-32 or similar board identifier code printed onto the board usually between the PCI-slots.

Dennis, I meant our patched BIOS:
PC Partner LXB834D, LXB843D, EXB831D and EXB841D boards with ITE8671 I/O 128KB,
Bios ID: 12/23/1998-ITE8671-2A69JV3FC-00
BIOS message: BIOS-I (81223) patched for HDD to 128 Gb

Good point about the 35-xxxx-xx number, I forgot that.

That is the right BIOS for your board but it will not solve the problem. Use our patched version of that BIOS, PC Partner LXB834D, LXB843D, EXB831D and EXB841D boards with ITE8671 I/O 128KB at the "tested" link below.
