Hi, I'm trying to get a 40GB Western Digital Caviar hard drive to work with my SiS 620 motherboard. The BIOS is an Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG. The BIOS ID is 06/21/1999-SiS-620-2A6INPN9C-00. When I boot up, the system just sits there trying to detect the drive.

I went to the manufacturer's site as indicated here: http://www.wimsbios.com/HTML1/procomp.html but I could not find anything related to my motherboard at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks a bunch.

Thanks, I tried the BIOS from procomp.com and it worked, but I am curious what the patched BIOS is. Should I load it instead of the ProComp version? Does it add extra functionality? Thanks a lot!
