i have a dfi ca61b+ motherboard with award bios v4.51PG (11/24/2000-693-596A-DD-2A6LGD4FC-00 beta version). it cant work when i install linux .i use a seagate u5(40GB) .can someone give my bios update info?
If you are happy to try an untested patched BIOS, I have patched the beta BIOS to allow discs up to 64Gb, if this was the problem. If you have a way of recovering from corrupt BIOS if this goes wrong (i.e. you can hot flash) you can try this. This is at your own risk. If you decide to go ahead, let me know how it goes. If this was not the problem and you can run OK with 40 Gb and Windows, maybe it's a Linux drivers issue ?
