As there's already a SA-type Bios in use this Bios should be correct and the latest available version :
ftp://ftp.fica.com/BIOS/motherboards/So ... SA4124.ZIP

Thanks for the speedy reply....i got the HDD recognised after a bios lflash, last night........not too sure that CMOS is picking up the HDD correctly though but windows XP has installed and all seems to be working. i,m sure that i've d/l'ed the above BIOS and Flashed it in.

I did have similar probems with a p6i440lx bios that is on my PII..untill i BIOS flashed. so the 40gb HDD could be recognised ..but, still the HDD could not bet set up using LBA for some reason or other......I set all to AUTO and it worked....what's confusing me though is that i tried using AUTO on the pc that i've been trying to install and all i got was a system disk failure....i had to let thee HDD muddle through NORMAL setting instead of LBA or AUTO...is there something that you think i've missed?
