it is there on some harddrives to trick the bios into thinking you have got a 32GB harddrive, so it can be picked up by older bioses. After that the Drive Overlay software can do its thing so the OS can use the full capacity of the disk.

Hi Edwin,

So the Fujitsu doesn't have this facility ? Is there anyway to determine what version of PhoenixBIOS I should flash to allow large drive access

you can try eSupport.com but I don't have high hopes. A new bios must come from the laptop manufacturer. There's no generic bios for it.
