Hello everybody.
I need to buy a new HD, and I think that my board (09/22/98-i440BX-SMC60X-2A69KB0BC) cannot support 60 gb.

The BIOS message at the startup screen:
Award Modular BIOS v.4.51(PG)
Award Plug & Play BIOS Extension v1.0A
TBC0923B

It must be a Biostar board. I found one update for the M6TBC at: http://www.biostar.com.tw/products/main ... /bios.php3
Does this update solve my problem? Thanks.

Thank you Rainbow.
These one has the end of BIOS id string: 2A69KB0CC-00 and mine is 2A69KB0BC-00.
It changes in one character, Is it valid anyway?

Looks like 128KB. There is only one BIOS at Biostar site. Try the patched BIOS - but backup your BIOS first!

[modify]
The old Biostar page http://web.archive.org/web/200002291103 ... C_Bios.htm lists both your current BIOS (TBC0923B) and the new TBC0208B for the M6TBC board. So the new BIOS should be OK.
