My 80 GB hard disk is not recognized.
CTBIOS gave me following information:
Award ID-String : 10/20/1998-i440BX-W977-2A69KM4JC-00
Board/BIOS-Version : W6190ZXM7 V1.3 090699
OEM : MICRO STAR
URL : http://www.msi-computer.de
Chipset : i440BX-W977 //Intel 440BX
I didn't find my type of bios on the microstar website...
Can somebody help me?
80GB: 10/20/1998-i440BX-W977-2A69KM4JC-00

The update was succesfull, but I still can't use the disc. When I perform Auto HDD Detection, my computer stops... Nothing happens... and when I set everything to detect automatic, the disc is detected, but the pc won't continue...

ok i'm back...
Now my computer starts... It finds the disk... it says 80GB so that's ok... but when I want to use FDISK it can only see 10 GB... What's wrong now?
Is it FDISK that can't read these large disks or what?

Probably the microsoft fdisk issue for large hard drives, described here
http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... us;q263044
You can download an updated fdisk if that is the problem.
