Bios couldn't detect my 80GB Maxtor HDD. After using the "Maxblast" Programm W2K found 32GB of it. By running W2K again I was able to format this 32GB and to install the OS on ist.
Is there any chance to get access on the the missing 48GB?

Thanks for your help.

Hi
Your board is Biostar M6VBE. Check that the Northbridge chip is 693 and not 693A, then use the patched BIOS at the "tested" link in my signature. You may have to:
1. Remove the 32GB limit jumper (on the HDD) if you did not do this.
2. Restore "drive size reporting" to "native size" using MaxBlast. MaxBlast may have told the drive to tell the BIOS that it is only 32GB.
3. Use the drive manufacturer's utility to change the maximum UDMA mode to UDMA Mode 2. Possibly MaxBlast has done this already.
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.
