Hello everyone,
Last week-end i bought a brand new Samsung 80Gb HD for my old PC, but unfortunately the BIOS couldn't detect the new drive. It hangs on 'auto-detect'.
I have found out the information below on the BIOS;
Bios type: American Megatrends licensed to Intel
Bios date: 12/16/94
Bios ID: BIOS VERSION 1.00.10.AF2T
Super I/O: SMC 665GT rev 2 found at port 3F0h
OS: Microsoft Windows 98 SE
CPU
Type: P56
Speed: 60MHz
Can you please help me to get the BIOS to recognise the Hard Drive as this computer is a present for my mothers birthday.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Amir
80GB: 1.00.10.AF2T
Hi
AF2, Batmans Revenge. Bios limit is 2GB, more results in hanging, just what you have experienced
Solutions:
1. Different OS like Linux, W2K, XP (maybe NT4)
2. Add-On PCI Card.
3. New Mobo/CPU/Ram
Bye
