80GB: intel se440bx-2

help i have a se440bx-2 running p17 bios but it still only sees my deskstar 120gxp as a 65535mb drive. any ideas?

Tried the 15-head jumper setting (clutching at straws)?
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.

ive checked winxp and its recognising the full 80gb wierd or what.

I think Windows 2000 and XP bypass the hard drive size set in the BIOS and use as much as the O/S can rather than as much as the BIOS can.

However, I don't think your problem is due to a BIOS limitation. Sounds more like a setting as Nick suggests.
