I have this hd and i can´t get it recognize by bios.

Firts i´ve made the 6610s164 bios upgrade (Shuttle HOT-661), and it recognized a 40GB hd, then i tried to add this 80 gb hd and didn´t worked. Then i founded this forum and read that there was a patch to this 64Gb bug and i´ve applied it, but it´s the same, it hangs on configuration. Also i have 224 MB ram installed and now after the patch it only recognize 128MB!!!!

Somebody have a solution? Please....

PS: Sorry my english..

Do you really have a Rev 3.x version of the HOT 661 or an older Rev 1.x/2.x ?
What was your original bios-ID or version number ?

Cleared CMOS and loaded setup defaults after flashing the patched Bios ?

I finally managed to solve my problem... Just did this "(Note: Due to another bug the BIOS SETUP hangs when manually inserting
HD parameters above 65535MB or when using the IDE HDD Auto Detection
function of the BIOS on drives larger than 64GB. Just set the Harddisks
TYPE and MODE to Auto for any drive above 64GB to avoid this error.)"

By the way thanks by the help Denniss .... i think the rev was 1.x and the original bios id was 10/12/1998-i440BX-ITE867-2A69KH2BC-00 i think...

But anyway problem cleared....
