Tried to install a 20gb hard drive and wont see beyond 8gb.

1172 in the ID string points to Giantec Inc.. Unfortunately, nothing appears in the archive for them before 2001.
At this age the BIOS did not have the Int 13h extensions and will not support HDDs larger than 8.4 GB without assistance. You should be able to find DDO (Dynamic Drive Overlay) software supplied by the manufacturer of your drive if you are planning to use Windows 95, 98 or ME, e.g. like MaxBlast for Maxtor.
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.
