Board is unable to see drive capacity larger than 8GB (even though 40GB fitted) :(

I see from earlier posts that similar boards don't have upgrades.

I ran ctbios13 and it gave me the same info as the boot screen. Doing something wrong ?
Info shows:

Wow that was fast!

I flashed the BIOS (after making a backup) and the machine then recognised 40GB!!!

The 8GB partition was OK (and booted) but the remaining space couldn't be allocated. fdisk got in a real muddle with logical drives :(

I tok an image of the partition (netboot and driveimage) then deleted all partitions. Then put the image back after resizing the partition from 8GB to 19GB. Win98 boots OK and the second partition is now formatted under win98.

Many Many Thanks to Ondrej for a fantastic response.

Bacon saved :)
