Hi,

I got a Toshiba 4010cdt laptop. The hard disk has some bad sectors. Following a scandisk failure, I am not able to access the HD any more. Furthermore, in the BIOS, I cannot change the hard drive mode or even specify the existance of the Hard drive,

Any help to change the HD mode or so in the BIOS will be very much appreciated

Thanks
Sofiene

1. Isn't there a utility Tsetup or similar to tun from a boot diskette ?
2. It is just possible that the disk is in fact so dead it's not recognised... can you find IDEID.EXE on the internet and run it from a boot diskette ?
