Abit has upgrades. The latest are from 2000.

More easily to access are the mirrors:

For Rev 1.1 boards:
ftp://ftp.mathematik.uni-marburg.de/pub ... ndex-e.htm

For others:

Abit LX6
Award v4.51PG
Bios Extension v.1.0A
11/30/1998-i440LX-W977TF-2A69JA1AC-HG

I have a 40Gb HD as secondary slave (working in linux/windows), though this HD isn't detected by the BIOS (BIOS hangs when auto-detecting)

I want to use it as primary master and boot from it.
Any idea if BIOS update LX6CLY would help?? (or something else)

---------------------------
Filename: LX6CLY.EXE
Date: 06/17/1999
ID: LY
NOTE:
Supports Intel Celeron 466Mhz CPU.
Fixes the password function.
Fixes the Y2K RTC function

Obviousely the bios will not support it and the OEM won't fix it. So, either use drive overlay software or put a addin EDIE card.
