Is it possible to dual boot an SATA hard drive and an IDE hard drive together? If so, can you please tell me how do i set the jumpers on the back of the drives?
Please respond as soon as possible.

I want to put windows vista onto one hard drive (sata) and windows xp onto the other drive (IDE) and i want to dual boot them. Will the PC boot and give me the option onto which one OS i want to boot?

Here is my motherboard specs (copy and paste the link)

Start with windows XP on the IDE drive (without the SATA being present). Power down, add the SATA drive, install Vista on the SATA drive, Vista should see XP on the IDE drive and ask you if you want to replace it. You don't. You want to install it on the free space on the other harddisk. This way you should be able to run them both. Make sure you have the IDE as primary boot device in your bios as that is where Vista will kick down the boot loader files needed for multiboot.

should have started with XP. Would have been so much easier. All right, back to the drawing board, I'll see what I can dig up...
