Hi,
I have a ECS K7S5A v3.1 Mainboard, and I am trying to add a boot option for my VIA VT6421A IO card. I have MMTOOL, and my latest bios rom, however MMTool will not let me open the ROM. I get an error message. Could it be that MMTool does not work on 64bit computers? (I am trying to do the editing on a different PC) Also, I am trying to add 6421V431.rom to my bios ROM. Is this the right one? Can anyone tell me if I am doing this right? Thanks

Please carefully read the warning or you might kill your Bios. Better get a decent SATA-card with it's own Bios. If it already has it's own Bios try to set SCSI as first boot device and/or try a different PCI slot.

Actually, my greatest issue is that none of the AMI tools will load the .rom file I have from ECS. If someone could answer why that is, then I can do the rest.

I did some K/S%A Bios modding myself, AFAIR you need AMIBCP 7.53 or similar for this.
