meaning of hdd "types" & patch needed
I have a bios that will auto detect "46" types of hard drives. Since this bios has the 32 gig limitation, I assume type 46 is equal to 30 gigs in round numbers. If this is true, does it mean that a type 47 drive is equal to 40 gigs ? Where might one find a "type" table that defines type 1 through how many ever types there are? Michael Monosky (blaster)

Drive types are all predefined for tiny, obsolete old drives. I don't even know why they keep them around any more.
Type 47 is user-defined, if you wanted to specify a drive manually for some reason. These days, all that matters is the auto-detect feature.
What you'll probably need is to have your BIOS patched, assuming it's qualified. Post your full BIOS id string, and the make and model of the board if you know it.
