I HAVE A SIS620 CHIPSET IN A PROCOMP BS61B MOTHERBOARD W/ESS SOLO-1, INTEGRATED SOUND CHIP, 80 GIG HARDRIVE, WINXP. THE ESUPPORT BIOS I PURCHASED DOES NOT SUPPORT THE ESS CHIP. THE OLD BIOS (AWARD V1.3, 4.51 PG) SUPPORTS THE ESS CHIP BUT DOES NOT SUPPORT AN 80 GIG HARD DRIVE. IS THERE A BIOS THAT DOES BOTH, OR DOES SOMEONE HAVE A BIOS THAT I CAN RELOAD THAT SUPPORTS THE LARGE DRIVE?

Try a patched version. It's untested yet.

It works. Windows xp loaded from the 80 gig, got rid of the grey bar during post that went across the bottom before windows started, and it found the ess solo1, joystick game port, ide controllers, etc. that were missing in the esource bios. Tried to explain to esource what was missing and they just didn't understand. I can now give the computer to a family that needs one for their kids but doesn't have 500 bucks to buy one.
Thank you.

My Motherboard is Procomp B687zv12. I upgraded it to support 128GB HDD. No when i tried to load Windows XP Professional,or Win 2000 Professional, It is showing errors while copying files. Most of the files are not copying some .dll files.
But, when i loaded Win ME and Win 98, there is no problem.

So, what should i do now?? Please help me... :!:

You have a BS61B. Both boards are using the same bios.

Hi edwin

I flashed my mother with the bios file (http://wims.rainbow-software.org/kuriak ... _BS61B.zip) and the Award Bios Utility 4.51, but it has the following error to restart the pc:

Award Bootblock BIOS v. 1.0
Copyright (1998) Award Software, Inc.

Bios ROM checksum error

Detecting floppy drive media...
Drive A error. System halt.

Now, I can't boot. Why?
How can I repair this trouble?
Any suggestion?.
