I have tried setting all the drives 1 by 1 as the first boot drive, but the computer does not continue long enough to boot from any drive. It restarts before it gets a chance to boot.

I need access to the command prompt to do that dont I. The computer restarts before getting that far.

When does it restart?

Well it seems to get through the boot memory test ok, and even displays a list of all the drives e.g.

primary master : seagate harddrive
secondary master : CD ROM Drive
etc

once the drives have been displayed it then restarts and does the exact same thing again.

I was reading the doc file which came with the bios i downloaded. It says you have to get into the command prompt and start the bios update program.

What are you supposed to do if the computer keeps restarted before it can boot from any drive?

Can anyone tell me more about this Motherboard?

But they provided hardware monitoring software with the motherboard? Its the original CD for the motherboard including drivers and the hardware sensor monitor!

Hello I bought a BioStar M6VCF motherboard and am using it to run a SL46T processor. For some reason, after installing the included temperature monitor, all the temperates are at 0? I have tried different monitors such as MBM and VCool, but they all display 0. Do the sensors have to be enabled or so...

I dont have another BIOS chip to hotflash with, as I dont want to mess around the my main PC which is working perfectly (touch wood!)

Hi OK, I have 2 PC, 1 works and the other doesnt. Let call the PC thats works "PC1" and the 1 which doesnt "PC2" PC2, displays the FDD, HDD, and CDD in the POST as all recognised! However, when I try to install as OS or try to FDISK the HDD, the HDD is not recognised? So: I tested the PC2 HDD on PC1...

How do you hotflash, iv never heard of this before ???
