My hdd is set as master and at the ferst ide. When the ide's are chekcked at bios setup it takes about 2 min for the bios to find nothing. So i willn't call it a hangup. But the problem remains unsolved. Chaintech tells my this motherboard is limited untill 32 GB hdd. But i can't beleive the limitat...

Thanks for the quick response, Your right my BIOS strings (message and post) don't coincide. I just flashed my bios with the newest update (12/04/2000). But after i tried my western digital 80GB hdd, the bios still didn't recognise the hdd. Do you know what the problem is? number on the bios is 6ata...

Hello, i recently spotted the AWARD 32GB bug in the above mainboard bios while trying to update my router with a 80GB IDE hdd. 32GB clipped mode works fine, 80GB hangs on detection. get the latest bios here: http://www.chaintech.dk/FILES/6xMB/6ATA2C04.EXE would somebody be so kind to fix it for me? ...
