Ok, i understand the chipset reply and the VGA drivers. My next question is what is the easiest way to determine what make/model is the card, and where to get drivers. Thanks for all the replies so much!

I don't want to flash the bios. What I am attempting to do, is... I just fdisked a pc and installed a new OS. Since doing this the colors and pixels are set @ 640 and 16 bit, with no other choices. Last time I came across this was on another machine and I had to use a driver disk from the motherboar...

to be sure, when I do this, it will update the motherboards drivers? I am attempting to fix a friends pc.

Please help me figure this out

I need to download the drivers for a motherboard, but do not know what make or manufacturer it is. The string at start up is:

08/07/1999-i440BX-<P3Bf>
