You might can plug external PCI/AGP/PCIe card into motherboard to make system boot with that display card ! For notebook the CPU core frequency varis with different loading. Do you try the case in which "CPU loading is maximum" ? At that time the CPU core frequency "should be" at 133MHz*13 = 1.73GHz Of course you can use "SpeedStep tools" to check if the multiplier can be changed... As for modifying ACPI ...

I don't think we can see/use extended/hidden settings within BIOS because you have binary file !

That is, before MP the BIOS settings/options are fixed(except setup menu) and thus user can not see/use some options if BIOS programmer hides them.
