hmm, so Everest now shows a FSB of 99.5, not sue why it's different now. It would still be great to get that 300MHz extra. So is what I want doable?

It's 100MHz bus (SL53S). The celeron is also. (SL4GX)

This laptop comes w/ a Celeron 700 by default. I purchased a 1GHz PIII as an upgrade, however the laptop identifies it a 700MHz PIII. Everest shows it as 88MHz x 7, which is even slower.
