Hello, I found some posts on this forums while searching google for a solution but nothing that quite got me there, so I thought i would post and see if anyone could help. I have an Asus P5NE-SLI motherboard that automatically boots the Award bootblock to recover from a BIOS image file. It has however refused all provided BIOS image files that are available for this board from Asus support website. I have so far attempted each BIOS image file with the three awdflash versions also provided by Asus on their support site. I have been following the manual to the letter and renaming the .bin file P5NESLI.bin. Note: I do not have original motherboard CD and have been using a known good floppy drive with good formatted floppies. The error produced is "BIOS image file check sum error." Using a modified awdflash.exe that loads the boot sector of an msdos floppy I can get at least a command prompt up to attempt using a universal flash software, however I am unable to find one that supports this board. I've tried using various command line switches that appear to be present on unmodified awdflash executables, however the Asus modifies one does not display any command line switches when provided with /? so I'm not even sure they have an effect.

Is this a board that was bought as retail board? So it was not bought as part of a system?
