:?: I have A slot A motherboard that come up on bootup with error award bootblock bios v1.0 . I do not know what motherboard or bios to flash this with it has a via chip VT82C686A. bios chip has CTF9356-2 v1.0 and 7ATA0-C100A on it .has a sticker on the back that reads GA0602 has 1 isa slot and 5 pci plus AGP slot on it. it has onboard audio it also has an 8 switch dip switch on 1 corner of the motherboard by the power plug there is a number on the side of the isa socket that reads serial number M0012039043 Please Help THANK YOU POPS

It's Chaintech 7ATA0 board. First make sure that your CPU and memory is OK (frequent problem on AMD boards when BIOS ROM Checksum error appears).
Chaintech server is currently down but the BIOS(es) should be available at http://www.chaintech.com.tw/AP/BIOS/mod ... odel=7ATA0.

I have same problem but on a Gigabyte GA-7DXR. Is it right to do a boot floppy with the minum files for start, the bios and the flash utility?

For me the problem was the CPU. Thanks for the advice.
