My system is running fine, I am attending various courses so need to make a multi boot disk with 3 OS, win xp, win xp prof and win 2000, I dont want to mess with the c drive so have got an external HD, I have put the partitions in place, gained entry into the bios but as never been in the bios b4 I am nervous about changing options etc.

Is what I am wanting possible, the system will boot up off my external drive, offer the options of various Ops Systems, if so any suggestions how I do this?

welcome to wimsbios.

You'll need to set the USB storage as a bootable option. In the boot order you need to set your CD drive and your USB storage before your C: drive. Start installing the OSs oldest one first as the multiboot loader gets better with each release. You may have trouble though with those three partitions visible on that disk, most likely it will result in windows on an other drive letter than C: which can cause weird errors. You might be better of in trying something like VMware.
