Hi,

I've tried to flash my ASUS K7V motherboard using the AFLASH program but the end result is I go through the POST, I can access and change BIOS options but the PC does not get further than this, in other words it will not boot from either A: or C: or D:

I have backed up the old BIOS on a bootable floppy with AFLASH but I cannot get the disk to be read. Having read the postings here I see that it is possible to use "boot block" but how can I do this on this motherboard?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Boot block requires floppy. Did you clear CMOS after flashing?

If you can't get anything to boot, try an ISA FDD controller (if you even have an ISA slot on that mobo). If not, you may be stuck hot-swapping or ordering a new chip.
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
