Hi everybody,
I want to know that I have ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard, whose bios are corrupted now... now can I use my old ASUS motherboard(P4BGL-MX) for flashing bios chip of new motherboard.... both motherboards are compatible of PLCC bios chip....
Thanks!
Can we use different motherboard for bios flashing?
look like some motherboard doesn't support large chips.. for example.. on asrock p4vt8+ only works chips with 2mbit.. not 4mbit...
if your p4bgl-mx can read p5w hd bios chip then you can flash the correct bios. You will need do a hot swap in bios'es, after boot, remove the original bios and put the chip you want to flash..
