The flash seemed to go ok. Memory test is fine and get Bad Checksum error as predicted. But after pressing F1 get blinking cursor and blackscreen. Clear CMOS does same. Assume the AMIBOOT.ROM thing doesnt work because there is a boot block but the wrong one. Nothing to hot flash with.
Any ideas or must i send the bios chip away to be reflashed? Just trying to save some money

Thanks

Try removing battery and shorten contacts in battery socket - Remove power cord from PSU and press power button to unload possible charged capacitors before removing battery .
