continous beeps at POST from my Epox mvp4f

i hear regular continous beeps at POST from my Epox mvp4f
i tried to change RAM for several times
built in VGA
nothing happen
please help me

a) Did you just receive this board?

b) Was it working before?

c) Did this happen all of a sudden?

d) Did you install a card or whatever before this happened?

e) ...whatever additional info you may have.

We don't have a crystal ball...

the motherboard was flashed wrong
then i reflash it (hot flash)
then i get this beeps

i read that it can be solved by shortcutting memory circuit in the motherbord

Was CMOS Cleared ?
Is floppy drive accessed ?

the beeps are regular and of the same tone
they are not one or two beeps they are many
the beeps of the same value and tone
the beeps occurs at regular manner

Start with the basics.

Remove everything you can (add-in cards, multiple RAM sticks, drives, etc...). Use only one KNOWN GOOD RAM stick. See if you can get the machine to POST, then slowly add things back in to find the culprit.

Also look for bent pins, damaged sockets, etc...

I think(?) continuous beeping like that means the system can't find any RAM to work with. It was either that, or it can't find a video "card" to display with...

i make all the above but i don't know what is the bent pins
the vga is built in and no agp socket but there is pci socket
i tried to replace rams
please help me

Bent pins=bent contacts/bent legs, e.g.
- on BIOS chip, one leg folded underneath not making good contact
- two contacts in PCI slot crushed together
- in HDD connector, two pins crushed together

At least with Epox you can buy a replacement BIOS chip from the manufacturer, see http://www.epox.nl/english/support/Default.htm#purchase, or from www.badflash.com
