Hi all,
I have a Compaq Presario 6300us that does a bios (POST) beep code of 1 long beep then 3 or 4 seconds and another. Anyone know the beep codes for this board, or at least know what this beep code means? Any help is appcreated.

It depends on the installed BIOS. Just search the web for "Beep Codes". one such example can be found here -> http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm .
Does the COMPAQ have a Phoenix BIOS? I could not find a code for just one long beep (1-1-1-1). Phoenix codes are in groups of four.
If it was AMI, one (short) beep would be RAM failure (not installed, wrong type, etc...).
