Greetings all,

Is there any work around to flash the Bios in a Dell 9000 -435t . I was updating the bios and the system froze and well..............

I have another Bios chip on the way , But I was wondering if there was a work around ,So i can get in there and re-flash the Bios.

Well, I installed a new Bios chip and it worked (Using the computer right now to write this post). But I entered the wrong asset tag number in the bios , DOH! .

Does anyone know a work around for that ?

the Dell Asset Utility from the R109071.exe package can be used to edit or change the asset tag or service tag. But you need either a bootable floppy disk or bootable usb flash drive to run the asset tag tool because it is run in pure DOS mode.
