i got a dead board, tried to hotflash it, its beeing recognized correctly by uniflash, but after writing the verfication of some blocks fails, tried again, same blocks
tried again with bootblockwrite, again...

so i think the chip is dead?

the chip is from SST: 29EE02 256KB
do i have to buy exact this chip or will a chip with the same configuration (blocks or however they are organised) will do the job?

May be also some incompatibility or write protected blocks - have it reflashed in Flash ROM programming device somewhere.
Winbond W29C020 will work on most boards.
