I was recommended to this site from another forum who said someone might be able to help, so i'll just paste in my original question:

Ok so i flashed my bios on my asus motherboard. I had an error and ta da it dont work. The board boots the system up but i have no signal going from my agp slot to the graphics card to my monitor, so i cant actually see whats going on. I checked the monitor and changed the graphics card so it must have been the bios update that messed it up. Do i just prosume from here that this board is now ready for the scrapyard. I dont think the bios chip is removable, it looks like it is, but it dont seem to come out. I have a asus a7a133. I think im just gonna have to buy a new board, but thought id ask incase anyone had an ideas. Also would any of this caused any damaged to my graphics card? any help greatly appreciated =)

I recieved a reply:
the bootblock function means your motherboard has a sort of protected mini bios, which will allow you to recover from a bad flash. ask about on www.wimsbios.com forums for how to fix this.

EDIT: my bios chip does come out.

Just take the Flash-EEPROM out and have is reprogrammed by somecody with a generic flasher or hotflash it if you have a suitable computer and courage.
