Hi,

My system can't load OS and installation process is halted while necessary files were loaded so can't recover corrupted system file. BIOS update was done successfully, but it seems not updated for boot block. Problem persists. But fortunately FDD work properly.

Is there anyone give me fresh boot block image dumped from same mobo(K7S5A PRO)? I tested one from my mobo it is counted only 8KB. If you like, reward is given.

Bootblock has nothing to do with your failure to install OS.

Since you have come to the point of installing OS, your BIOS image cannot be blamed for this problem for it has done its part and has turned over control to the bootstrap routine that loaded your OS setup program.

Recheck your BIOS settings instead and try loading fail-safe defaults, save CMOS, then restart.

If problem persists, try downloading the demo version of either AMIDIAG or TOOLSTAR TEST in another PC, and prepare a self-booting floppy that you can use to troubleshoot your system without guesswork.
