Hello,
I used a cmos password killer and now my motherboard is dead. My floppy drive doesnt do anything so I cant use a boot disk. According to http://www.wimsbios.com/ in the FAQ #27 I should get a multi port isa card. Will this work??? Has anyone done this?? Is there any other way to kick start my computer??
Thanks,
Derek Basch

What have you done since then ? Cleared CMOS ? including remove battery and short the battery contacts (if possible - many PC-Chips boards use a battery under the cover of the Houston Tech RTC chip which makes it difficult - the chip legs tend to fall off if you move the battery).

You can ID which board you have at the PC-Chips Lottery site (http://www.stud.fernuni-hagen.de/q3998142/pcchips/), select "Start your journey here if you DO NOT KNOW which board you own! "
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.

Thanks,
It worked! I pulled the little sony battery out and shorted the contacts. Rebooted and it works fine. I was never able to find the board in the Data base you sent me...so I had better never flash the Bios on this piece of junk.
Thanks Again,
