Hi there,

I have just flashed my Micronics W6-LI dual Pentium Pro motherboard with the wrong BIOS. I have a revision A BIOS and all the internet-downloadable BIOS files are for the revision B board. The rev. A board has a 1 Mbit flash ROM and the rev. B boards have a 2 Mbit ROM. And the lousy phlash software that comes with it doesn't tell you that the file size and the chip size are different.

The BIOS is a lousy Phoenix BIOS 4.05. However, I need it to make this board go.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a 1 Mbit (128k) BIOS file for this board? Or alternative, if you have one of these Rev. A boards, are you able to extract the BIOS image using Uniflash or something similar, and email it to me?

Thanks in advance,

Geoff.

Well... I have managed to hot-flash the BIOS chip with a Micronics M6MI BIOS and it boots at present... all I have to do now is find the correct BIOS to enable the second processor. :)
