I have a MSI 815EPT PRO (MS-6337 v5.X) ATX Motherboard.

One day it just died and the LEDs & beeping decode to the following
error message:

"Decompressing BIOS image to RAM for fast booting"

What is the problem? Is there a way to boot BIOS from a system disk, or do I have to replace the BIOS Prom?

Help!

Are you referring to the 7 1500uF capacitors closet to the CPU?

Could a bad BIOs Prom be causing this error?

thanks for your help!

I forgot to mention that when power is applied the board is giving the siren sound. Which I found to mean the CPU is over heating. It occurs 20 seconds after power up...

Is the CPU defective?
