I went to upgrade my bios from the sony website. I found the bios update 1004 from 1002 listed for my model of pc pcv rx-650. I downloaded the the update & saved it, then opened it. After the update was complete I restarted the pc.......now all i get is cmos checkum error - defaults loaded

press f1 to continue press f2 to setup....but NOTHING happens.

I thought since it was on sony site & was for my model would not hurt..anyone know how to fix this??? please help, adam

Try clearing the CMOS.
BTW.: 1002, 1004 - looks like there's Asus board inside.

i also have a jumper on motherboard that says 1&2 clear cmos 2&3 normal. I put it on 1&2 and turned power on then off but still nothing. Why would I need to replace battery? new batt any different?
