My mobo used to work fine, and i did no changes at all.original bios.
On day on startup it could not finish bios because it hangs at "Checking Nvram..".
I have checked everything i know.
memory ok (took definitely running memory from other PC),
IDE-Drives unplugged,
USB unplugged from mobo,
I cleared CMos
nothing worked.
always stalls at "CHECKING NVRAM.."
-no additionel card on mobo. -plain mobo, graphics and sound and LAN on board!
No chance for me to enter Bios.
Is there a key wich i can press on poweron in order to read new ROM from floppy in CMOS??
Thanks in advance
Langen

Hello apple_rom,
I did that just an hour ago by pressing ctrl Home while powerup.
The mobo takes information from floppy (AMIBIOS.ROM)
and after a while it beeps seven times. I switched the power of and on again -same problem (Checking NVRAM..)
I guess i return it to the dealer
Thank you for your help!

Try to add/Remove a PCI or ISA card - should force a NVRAM update
If this does not work the the Flashrom has to be completely erased and reprogrammed
Then you have a new Bios on it + the NVRAM area on the flashrom is erased and should be refilled with data on the next boot

Hi.
I happen to have exactly the same problem with the exception that I can't return it to the place where I bought because of few..hrhm, modifications. Tried re-flashing with the AMIBOOT.ROM etc. Anyway, Denniss mentioned that a complete erase and reprogramming might help. How do I do that or is it more advanced stuff, something I can't do without a proper tools?
