I have a hp pavilion computer a6826f and yesterday I went to the hp site and found that there was an update for my Bios. I downloaded it and ran the software and waited for it to flash but when it finished and restarted, my computer would not start. I made the mistake of not backing up anything and now I am suffering the consequences. I already tried changing the jumper cables to reset CMOS and also taking out the battery, then restarting the system and going into the settings and putting the default settings with no success. I have searched all over the internet for a copy of my .Bio file and I cannot find it. I found that if I can get this file, I could load it into my computer and hopefully bring it back to life. Can someone please tell me if there is a way for me to get the old Bios loaded into my system again and where can I find this .Bio file or how to fix this mess.

My computer system has the following:
Motherboard: IPIBL-LB XU1LGA775 rev. 1.01
PN 492774-001 Rev: A03
WIndows 7 , 64bit
HP Pavilion a6826f

You must be logged on as an administrator to install this update.
You must have a Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows Vista operating system.

unpack the .exe with 7zip, there's "Ben5.43" in there, that is the bios file.

It is an AMI BIOS, recovery instructions here:
