BIOS Updates forum

So there is no vendor to "Obtain a new BIOS from...". I guess I could run the "Troubleshooting Wizard", but my other guess is it will not fix the BIOS. So what I will do until such time as I decied to bite-it and get a new MOBO, I will just live w/out a USB and transfer files via the HUB from the PC...

My flash components are: flash631 28 KB MS-DOS App 1/4/1999 2:41 PM m668ds-6.rom 256 KB ROM File 1/4/199 2:20 PM I use a WinME setup floppy to boot from, which won't recognize the HDs (NTF) but it does create a RAMDRIVE to which I copy the flash components then I type "flash631 m668ds-6.rom". I flashed with M668-007.rom, but lost the IDE channed (HD & CD) even after trying several options in SETUP (enable SMART, etc).

So I went back to the M668DS-006.rom flash, & I'm still out of USB.

Ideas? Fixes? Miracles?

I even talked with BIOS Central, but Gene sounded like a lost puppy.

I keep logging in, and it keeps asking me for my user name & pw the sec I click "Submit"...

I hadn't seen the M668-007.rom before, so I'm gonna slap it on my MOBO as soon as possilbe this evening...
