Hi to all, i've this Aspire 1613 with onboard soldered Radeon 9700 and four 32mb bga ram chips. One of them is faulty because i get errors on screen on each boot.

Here are a downloadable image of the bios:

I'm wondering if there's a way to open that bios and disable one or more ram chips to have a working notebook with less video ram.
Any idea? Is it a possible thing to do?
Thanks

No chance for this. Have you tried to reduce the VGA memory clock with Powerstrip or similar progs ?

May there still be some kind of warranty for your Notebook ?
