my harddisk 30gb is crashed and i need a new one
the smallest harddisc taht i can buy is 40gb and more i tryed a 40gb seagate and 80gb toshiba both didn't work .
Acer have no new bios for that system

is the hdd detected at all? does the bios crash on hdd detection? does one of the new hdds spin up? do they both spin up? did you check the connection between hdd and mainboard?

The Harddisc was recognized by name and size in Bios
but the system didn't start from Harddisk or cdrom when a greater hd was
installed. :(

didi you actually INSTALL something like an OS on the HDD?

i tryed both with and without os on the new harddisc and a cloned disk from original hd
the original hd boot perfektly
