I have a Fujitsu Amilo Xi3650, which is virtually identical to the Xi3670 except the graphics cards are different and the Xi3670 supports quad core. I want to add quad core support to my 3650, I tried using the bios from the Xi3670 and my new quad core processor worked fine but it didn't recignise the graphics card (mines a 9600m gt, the 3670 has a gt130).

The graphics card isn't mxm so I can't just change that, I'm hoping I can copy the quad core support from the 3670's bios to the 3650's or copy the graphics card support from the 3650 bios to the 3670. Any idea if this is possible, the two laptops are identical apart from the graphics and processor support in bios.

Thanks in advance.

Pray for Fujitsu to add Quad core support in the Xi3650 bios. It may be they left it out for marketing reasons (so you buy the more expensive Xi3670 instead), it may be the thermal desing/power circuit in the Xi3650 simple cannot handle the Quad Core, so it may work at first but in the long term break your laptop.

Hello,
Like you, I have xi3650. I'm very happy. But I want to replace my P8400 with Q9100. I think upgrade my bios to xi3670's bios... Is it possible? If it's no operant, can I downgrade to xi3650 bios?
And for your graphicboard, have you found solution?
Thank you
