I have a D830 running Windows 7 32-bit.

I have read all over google that people have managed to apply the A15 BIOS upgrade, but i cant.
I get the error message : "This BIOS does not support the level of hardware in this system."

The only thing i am concerned about is that in Dxdiag my system model comes up as a D820, buts its not :/.

Tried update in compatibility mode (Windows Vista + Run as Admin)

Any ideas?

Thanks

jdavis10, are you absolutely sure you are using a Dell Latitude D830 and not D820?
Go to the Dell support site, click on Drivers & Downloads section, enter the Service Tag number of your Dell Latitude laptop to obtain specific BIOS downloads for your laptop.

Latest Latitude D820 BIOS is version A10.
Latest Latitude D830 BIOS is version A15.

AND if you can't "flash" the Latitude BIOS in Windows, try flashing it in pure DOS mode by booting from an MSDOS boot floppy disk or boot cd. Make one from Bootdisk.com.
